T20 innings basics for reading IPL information
T20 cricket normally gives each side up to twenty overs, subject to match conditions. Read the innings, target and status rather than assuming every game uses the full allocation.
Know the over unit
An over contains six valid balls under the normal rule. Overs notation records complete overs and valid balls in the current over. Wides and no-balls normally do not count towards those six.

Know why innings end
A side can use its allotted overs, be all out or, when chasing, reach the target before the allocation finishes. Weather or other conditions can also change the match. Use the official status for the actual fixture.
Avoid fixed-total assumptions
Twenty overs is a format limit in a normal full innings, not a promised duration or score. A target and required rate must use the current match conditions, especially if the allocation changes.
